Although it didn’t win, Owen Roberts International Airport, Grand Cayman was one of five airports nominated for Routes Americas 2013 best airport.. The other airports nominated were Lynden Pindling International Airport, Nassau (Highly Commended),
Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, Cuzco
Hewanorra International Airport, St Lucia and the winner – Queen Beatrix International Airport, Aruba.

The category Owen Roberts Airport was nominated was airports under 4 million passengers.

The annual Routes awards are highly regarded as the most valuable awards in the industry as they are voted for and judged by the airline network planning community.

These innovations include a blended approach to the shortlisted airports where the final shortlist will include a number of airports who will be shortlisted using our online voting form together with a number of airports who have been shortlisted by a panel of industry experts drawn from the airline network planning community.
