05 June 2024 – There will be something for everyone to enjoy at mealtime in the Olympic and Paralympic Villages. Athletes will be able to choose from 40 different dishes each day throughout Paris 2024, with local, seasonal and organic food at the heart of what’s on offer. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can look forward to!

Soon to welcome more than 9,000 participating athletes, the Olympic and Paralympic Village is ready to offer you a delicious dining experience. Thoughtfully designed with your nutritional needs in mind, and with the eating habits of over 200 NOCs to cater for, a wide variety of diverse and high-quality meals will be served every day throughout the Games.

Food in the Olympic Village

The main dining hall will feature six food courts serving dishes from around the world. Each food court will have a theme, including French, international, Asian and Halal. The menu will rotate on an eight-day cycle, with all cultural, nutritional and religious requirements provided for.

You’ll also find a salad bar with over 30 choices, a grill station, a cheese section, a bakery, a hot food buffet, a dessert bar and a variety of fruit options. And the use of local, seasonal and organic food aligns with Paris 2024’s inspiring strategy to halve the carbon footprint of catering for the Games.

Elsewhere in the Village, a dining space will be available in Île-Saint-Denis, providing further food options, including a salad bar and outdoor grill. For those of you on the move, there will be several Grab & Go stations throughout the Village, serving a variety of takeaway food and beverage options.

When it comes to drinks, you will be well covered by Worldwide Olympic Partner Coca-Cola, which will be providing a full portfolio of beverages for every occasion throughout the Village, and at training and competition venues. There will also be a dedicated space from Costa Coffee, allowing you to disconnect in a relaxing setting with a cup of coffee or learn something new in one of the coffee masterclasses running throughout the day.

Experience a Taste of France

When you’re not getting tucked into a delicious meal, you can also participate in a baguette-making workshop in the Village’s on-site bakery – where you can learn to shape, score, bake and enjoy one of France’s most famous food products with passionate local bakers. A rewarding way to unwind with friends!

What’s more, a food court-like space, featuring a 500-square-metre outdoor terrace, will be serving special signature meals crafted by celebrated French chefs.

Sustainable and Transparent Choices

The nutritional values and environmental impact of each meal will be displayed in all canteens, ensuring that you know exactly what you’re putting into your body and where it came from. That’s why you’ll find lots of fruit, vegetables, legumes and wholegrains, many of which will be homegrown from all regions of France.

Your friends and family can expect fresh and diverse food options, too. Across all venues, 60 per cent of recipes for the public will be vegetarian. At the La Concorde Urban Park – where 3×3 basketball, breaking, BMX freestyle and skateboarding events will take place – 100 per cent of the meals available will be vegetarian, as Paris 2024 looks to promote the benefits of a plant-based diet to new generations.
