Rev. Dave and Maureen Hazle celebrated 25 years of marriage on Saturday 21^st September.

 

Rev. Dave is Pastor of Elmslie Memorial United Church on Harbour Drive, George Town and his congregation packed into the Church Hall to celebrate this wedding milestone with him.

 

It was a glorious and happy affair.

 

Miss Jackie Morris was the excellent and articulate Master of Ceremonies who kept the programme moving at a steady pace.

 

Pastor John McMillan gave a prayer to the couple and then we all sang the hymn “O Father All Creating”.

 

A Scripture Reading followed from Clive Hinds with a Responsive Reading by Madda Whittaker.

 

The Elmslie Youth sang and Gwendilee Coward read a poem.

 

The time came for food and after it was blessed by Ellen McField we sat down to a really scrumptious meal until we couldn’t eat anymore. However we had to make room for the cake!

 

After Thomas Myles blessed the Anniversary Cake the happy couple cut it and then it was their turn to reply to the many toasts that had come from the attendees.

 

Rev. Donovan Myers gave the closing prayer and the lovely evening finally came to a close.

 

May Dave and Maureen enjoy many more years together and celebrate their golden anniversary.
