Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands: The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) wants your opinion.

As a part of the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism destination guide, CIDOT is adding a people’s choice section this year. The destination guide is a key marketing tool that is used to provide information on local tourism businesses and services. The guide features details such as accommodations, watersports, restaurants, culture, history, shopping, transportation, and attractions to showcase the diversity of offerings in the Cayman Islands. It is published every other year and is used globally by travel professionals as well as visitors when planning a trip to the Cayman Islands.

For the 2015-2016 guide, tourism officials will highlight what people think are the best things about the islands. The categories for voting are:

• Beaches
• Things to Do
• Dive Sites
• Romance and
• restaurants

Director of Tourism, Mrs. Rosa Harris, says “Who better to explain to potential visitors to our shores what the most exciting things to do, best places to eat, and the most romantic locations are, than the people that experience these things every day, or have visited us in the past.”

Casandra Morris, the Department of Tourism Manager for E-Business & Market Research says, “We encourage everyone to participate. This is a great opportunity to share what you felt were the best spots during your past vacations with us, and for residents to share their unique point of view regarding where the best of the best locations are in our country. We look forward to our stakeholders supporting this endeavor and encouraging their guests to participate.”
