Pizza delivery man robbed
At about 21.50hrs last night, Friday 6th January, 2012, a 56 year old male driver from a local pizza company was attempting to make a delivery to a home in Victory Avenue, George Town.
As the driver approached the residence on foot he was attacked by a group of males. The victim was struck to the back of the head and fell to the ground.
The suspects stole a wallet and other personal items belonging to the victim.
Police were called by residents who immediately attended and made a search of the area with negative results. The victim was treated at the scene by a medic unit and transported to George Town Hospital.
The scene was cordoned off and a full investigation was commenced by CID Department.
The victim was later discharged from hospital after being treated for injuries to his head.
No description of the suspects can be provided at this time only to say that they are males, no other witnesses as yet have come forward with any information.
