Plane is missing in Caribbean with 4 aboard, including N.H. man

The United States Coast Guard has searched 8,200 square miles of ocean over the past 30 hours, for a Lee, N.H., man who went missing along with a New York woman and her two young children as they were flying from Puerto Rico to Florida.

Missing are Jennifer Blumin, 40, of New York City, her 3-year-old and 4-year-old sons, and Nathan Ulrich, 52.

The airplane took off from Borinquen, Puerto Rico, at approximately 11 a.m. Monday en route to Titusville, Florida.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, a Coast Guard helicopter crew located a debris field 15 miles east of Eleuthera, Bahamas, officials said.

Nathan Ulrich is the founder and co-owner of Xootr, an “adult kick scooter” company, as well as the technical director of Radon Sport.

According to Ulrich’s biography on the Radon Sport website, “He started his career at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, developing, testing, and operating deep ocean robotic systems while serving as faculty advisor to MIT/WHOI graduate students.”
