On the same day that public sector workers in St. Kitts and Nevis received the historic three-peat payment of a 13-month (double) salary, another important milestone was met in the country.
December 14th, 2018 saw the Harris-led Team Unity Government do what no other administration has done – pay a 13-month salary to all Federal and Nevis Island Administration workers for the third straight year.
What’s more, the afternoon of December 14th, 2018 was the first time that Carib Brewery (St. Kitts & Nevis) Ltd. reached the one million mark in relation to the number of cases produced in a single year.
Carib Brewery makes 18 products, including Giant Malt; Ginseng Up; Guinness; Mackeson; Peardrella; Royal Extra; Ting; Vitamalt, and its flagship Carib Lager.
A press release issued on December 14th by Carib Brewery (St. Kitts & Nevis) Ltd. said, “The Board of Directors of Carib Brewery takes this opportunity to first of all thank our management and staff for their loyalty and hard work over the 58 years of our operation in St. Kitts and Nevis. On Friday, Prime Minister Harris commended the board of directors, management and staff for the many successes the company has registered over the years, such as its markedly improved efficiency and productivity. Earlier this year, another one millionth milestone was achieved in St. Kitts and Nevis; the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) recognized the country as a marquee tourist destination with the arrival of the one millionth cruise passenger during the 2017-2018 cruise season. This was the first time that St. Kitts and Nevis reached the one million cruise passenger mark in a single season.
