UPDATE:  Good Afternoon Poetry People

Unfortunately we have to cancel Floetry for this coming Wednesday.  We have a visiting children’s Author down doing some presentations.  I have staff covering those events but do not have staff to cover the store during Floetry.

I am sorry about this, however we will go on as planned for next month on Wednesday April 16.

World Poetry Day is on Friday 21 March, and was declared by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999. The purpose of the day is to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world and, as the UNESCO session declaring the day says, to “give fresh recognition and impetus to national, regional and international poetry movements”.

We are inviting to all poets and poetry lovers to celebrate this date in a special evening at Floetry, Books&Books, Camana Bay.

7:00 pm

There will be poetry reading, live music and many other entertainments.
