Police and Immigration joint operation nabs 9

On Thursday 6th of June 2013 at 10:35 am Police and Immigration Dept. carried out an intelligence led operation at a liquor license premises in George Town.

Nine people were arrested for various offences under the Misuse of Drugs Law, the Gambling Law and the Immigration Law.

The multi-departmental operation included Drugs & Serious Crime Task Force, K-9, Air Support Unit, Uniform Support Group, the Operational Support Unit and the Immigration Department.

During the operation several items were also seized as evidence including a number of vehicles and a substantial quantity of cash.
