Police respond to two reports of woundings overnight

Last night at around 9:40 pm Police responded to a report of two males fighting on Powell Smith Drive, West Bay where a machete was involved. Both men received non-life threatening injuries, taken to the George Town Hospital for treatment and later released.
One of the men has been arrested in relation to the incident and enquiries are continuing.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area to contact the West Bay police Station at 949-3999 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS.
The second incident occurred at a night club on Crew Road, George Town at around 2am where a 23 year old male received a number of stab wounds to his abdomen and hand.
He remains in the George Town Hospital. A further update to follow.
