GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands – Overseas Territories Heads of Government gathered here this morning to begin the pre-Joint Ministerial Council Meeting.

The meeting, chaired by Cayman Islands Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin, is an opportunity for all Overseas Territories Heads of Government to exchange views on political and constitutional issues, especially as they relate to the United Kingdom and its relationship with OTs.

Heads of Government from Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, the Falkland Islands, Gibraltar and Montserrat are attending.

The main focus of the meeting will be to agree on priority areas from the OTs’ perspective to be included on the agenda of the JMC meeting in December 2014 in London.

The meeting concludes Thursday.
