Cayman Islands Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin went toe-to-toe with BBC’s HARDtalk host Stephen Sackur in London on Tuesday when he answered questions about the Cayman Islands and Overseas Territories.

Both Cabinet Secretary Samuel Rose and Senior Political Advisor Roy Tatum, who are travelling with the Premier, said he did an excellent job and made Cayman proud.

There has been no date assigned to the airing of the segment, the Premier said Tuesday evening. Once a date is given, it will be shared via regular and social media.

The Premier was invited to appear on HARDtalk, which provides in-depth interviews with hard-hitting questions. The appearance followed his attendance, also by invitation, at Chatham House where he gave one of two keynote addresses at a conference titled ‘Combatting Global Corruption: Shared Standards and Common Practice’.
