On Tuesday 26^th March, 2013, the Governor of the Cayman Islands, H.E. Duncan Taylor, formally dissolved the Legislative Assembly.

The Proclamation No. 1 of 2013 was signed, sealed and delivered under seal and the Cayman Islands holds its breath and waits for a new Legislative Assembly to be sworn in on after the elections on May 22^nd.

The Candidate Nomination Day was Wednesday 27^th March and commenced at 8am and finished at 3pm.
