PS Audio: New SACD Release on Octave
To ieyenews readers,
They say good things come to those who wait and there has been a wait for the SACD versions of our latest two releases here at Octave. You may have noticed that the albums by Sturtz and Tom Amend Trio on the Octave webpage were available for download only beginning in December, and the SACD versions are now available! We gave a trial run for these two albums to be download only, but we had high demand and many emails requesting the SACD versions. The people have spoken, we listened and you can now find Sturtz and Tom Amend Trio on SACD.
Sturtz is as Colorado Americana as a group can get. With acoustic guitar, upright bass, banjo, cello and 3-part harmonies, this mix of bluegrass and soul captured in the songwriting of Andrew Sturtz is a beautiful representation of the Boulder music scene. Live at Roots Music Project was recorded just blocks away from PS Audio.
Tom Amend Trio Live at Nocturne II is a killer live album captured at the best jazz club in Denver. If you aren’t able to see them live and in-person, this album will bring the show to you. Recorded by Paul McGowan in DSD256 on the Pyramix system, the realism is everything you could hope for in a live album.
I hope you enjoy these two releases. As always, feel free to reach out with questions or comments!
