Health centres holiday hours
All district health centres and the George Town General Practice clinic at the Cayman Islands Hospital will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
They will also be closed on New Year’s Day.
The district health Centres will close at 3 p.m. and the George Town General Practice at 4:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Patients are reminded to fill their prescriptions before the holidays.
The Cayman Islands Hospitals Accident and Emergency Unit will remain open as usual throughout the holiday season.
Garbage Collection Holiday Schedule
Department of Environmental Health officials advise the public of changes in the garbage collection schedule.
For Christmas Day (Wednesday, 25 December).
For all Cayman Islands residents: • All landfills in Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman will be closed to the public on Christmas Day. They will reopen on Thursday, 26 December.
For George Town District residents:
• Garbage will not be collected on Christmas Day. Collection will resume the next day Thursday, 26 December.
For Cayman Brac and Little Cayman:
• Residential garbage will not be collected on Christmas Day. Collection will resume on Thursday, 26 December.
For commercial collection, islands-wide:
• Commercial collection will be suspended on Christmas Day. However, collection scheduled for Christmas Day will receive priority on Thursday, 26 December.
For New Year’s Day (Wednesday, 1 January):
• There are no changes to residential and commercial collection, or to landfill access.

Grand Court Jurors Advisory
Grand Court Jurors who are in the ‘2 October – 31 December 2013’ session, please be advised that you are no longer required to attend and thank you for your service. Please submit your jury claim form with a copy of your photo I.D., at the Criminal Registry, located in the main Court building. Please call the Jury Information line at 945-5072 for the most up to date information.
Immigration Holiday Hours
The Department of Immigration has announced its holiday working hours, as well as dates for the remaining board meetings for this year.
The Immigration headquarters (including public counters, and the Passport and Visa offices) will close to the public at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, 24 December, and reopen at 8:30a.m. on Friday, 27 December.
These offices again close to the public at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, 31 December, and resume at 8:30a.m. on Thursday, 2 January 2014.
The meeting dates for the Immigration Boards are as follows:
The Work Permit Board’s final meeting date will be 16 December, and resumes on 6 January, 2014.
The Business Staffing Plan Board’s final meeting date will be 18 December and, resumes 6 January, 2014.
The Cayman Status and Permanent Residents Board’s final meeting will be 12 December, and resumes on 9 January, 2014.
