Cubic Telecom to enable connected car services as part of Qualcomm’s innovative Car-to- Cloud strategy.

March 7, 2022. Award-winning connected software solutions provider, Cubic Telecom is set to strengthen its strategic partnership with Qualcomm, the world’s leading chipmaker for in-vehicle systems. Cubic’s connected software solution will enable the visibility, analytics, insights and connectivity behind Qualcomm’s innovative Car-to-Cloud solutions.  

Cubic’s Plxor, Insights and Pace products will enable Qualcomm to extend cloud-based services on Snapdragon chipset modules to automotive OEMs globally. Integration with Cubic’s Pace connectivity management platform will enable Qualcomm’s cloud-based lifecycle management, OTA updates and on-demand feature activations. This collaboration will provide a single embedded software solution, meaning that any vehicle shipped anywhere in the world will have built-in compliance across local markets.  

For automotive OEMs, Cubic’s collaboration with Qualcomm will enable a turnkey, integrated digital cockpit solution, opening up a wealth of enhanced service, infotainment and upgrade opportunities via an always-connected, highly configurable system.

Qualcomm said that the solution created from its Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Services and Cubic’s software provides a single point of control for global out-of-the-box connectivity on Qualcomm Telematics SOC-based NAD modules, with support for bundled data and services, adding that “The solution also solves for regional regulation complexities with built-in compliance across regional markets.”
