This morning at about 1:33 am 911 received a report of a one-car accident involving a Daihatsu Charade motor car, which collided with a concrete wall at the intersection of Birch Tree Hill Road and Andresen Road, Birch Tree Hill, West Bay. The vehicle was travelling South on Birch Tree Hill Road when the accident occurred. The vehicle was driven by a 31-year-old female, and she was accompanied by a 23-year-old male passenger who was seated in the front passenger seat.

Police, Medics and Fire personnel attended the scene of the accident. Fire personnel had to extricate the driver from the vehicle using the “Jaws of Life”. Both were transported to the GT Hospital by ambulance.

The driver received injuries to her face, upper body and legs. The male passenger received injuries to his face, legs and a dislocated shoulder. Their injuries are not considered life threatening. They are still admitted to the GT Hospital .
