Rally against expat income tax postponed to Monday (6) outside LA
The Caymanians and Expats United Against Taxation movement announced they have rescheduled their rally against the premier’s proposal to introduce expat income tax in the interests of peace and safety. In the face of increasing intimidation, a spokesman said it was more sensible to hold the rally in central George Town next Monday (Aug 6) evening. “The rally was about peaceful protest,” he said, “but given the premier’s comments about the ‘disquiet’, which was nothing to do with the new social media group, he did not want to fuel further misunderstandings.”
The venue has just been announced for this meeting. It will be outside the Legislative Assembly Building (LA). No time, however, has been confirmed.
