Ralph Königs to strengthen DLG’s international dealer relations

Experienced industry expert – Enhanced services for the international agricultural machinery trade sector – New features and networking formats planned for Agritechnica 2025 – The world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery to take place in Hanover, Germany, 9 – 15 November 2025
The DLG (German Agricultural Society) has appointed Ralph Königs as Manager of ‘Business Segment Dealer’, a new position that has been created to fill the needs of global agricultural machinery dealer organizations for international venues that offer concentrated information and networking opportunities.
Bringing many years of relevant industry experience, Königs will further enhance DLG’s wide international network in the farm equipment dealer sector by developing new services and event concepts for the international agricultural trade industry. A particular focus will be on customized services at Agritechnica 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery to take place in Hanover, Germany, 9-15 November.
Agritechnica offers individual dealers and international dealer organizations – including the key countries in 2025: Canada, the Czech Republic and France – a comprehensive meeting place with specialized information ranging from logistics and financing, customs issues to second-hand machinery center and a feature on live tractor repairs. Forging closer relationships with dealer organizations in Europe and other continents, Königs will drive forward the strategic development of the agricultural machinery trade segment within the DLG, starting with developing Agritechnica’s offering further with new features.
With the appointment of Ralph Königs, DLG has gained an expert possessing not only extensive experience in the agricultural machinery trade but also a thorough understanding of the challenges and needs of the global industry.
“We are confident that Ralph Königs is an excellent addition to our team who will bring fresh perspectives to our existing offering,” explains Tobias Eichberg, Managing Director of Trade Fairs and Exhibitions at DLG. “With his many years of practical experience and market knowledge, Ralph Königs will make a significant contribution to further enhancing our business platforms for the agricultural machinery trade, such as Agritechnica. He will be working closely with the international agricultural machinery trade industry to develop and establish new and suitable formats,” adds Eichberg.
Broad experience in agricultural machinery trade
Effective October 2024, Königs has taken up his role as Business Segment Dealer Manager, DLG’s Trade Fairs and Exhibition Department,
Königs joins the DLG from a leading supplier of tillage and seed drill technology where he was export manager. Prior to that, he set up and successfully developed an agricultural machinery business. Königs has gone through formal training as a farmer, agricultural machinery mechanic and merchant in wholesale and foreign trade. With roots in agriculture, Ralph Königs hails from Mettmann, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
