RCIPS inform public of theft of 76 air conditioning units
Around 1:00PM Thursday 24 August, police responded to a report of theft of 76 white ‘Comfort Star’ split air conditioning units.
The units were individually boxed and stored in two padlocked containers located on a vacant lot on Up The Hill Road, West Bay. The thieves have cut the padlocks to gain access to the units.
It was reported that the units were stolen sometime between the hours of midday, Thursday 17 August, and 12.30pm, Thursday 24 August.
The complainant estimates the value of the 76 units to be over $14,000 CI.

The units are likely to be shipped off island, or sold within the construction industry on island. The matter is under investigation and anyone with any information, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, or might know the current location of the units is asked to contact CID at 949-4222, or 949-3999.
