Recognition for Foreshore as they achieve Global Cloud Security Certification for third year running
Foreshore’s Regional SVP, Polly Pickering, based in the Cayman Islands commented:
“As more clients begin to use cloud services for either lower cost disaster recovery solutions or day to day hosted business applications, the main concern they have is always security of data and jurisdiction. Although the ‘anywhere-access data’ that cloud services provide has significant advantages, it does make people nervous. At Foreshore we have always held ourselves to the highest possible industry standards for the quality of our Information Security Management System. We are delighted to be the first provider in the Cayman Islands to achieve ISO27001 certification and have upheld this standard since 2011 as further, clear evidence of our commitment to client data security. What is more, recent figures highlight the importance of these factors to our clients; Mimecast Offshore, one of our ISO27001 certified offerings is widely used, with 43% of business mail flow in Cayman utilising this platform.”
To achieve ISO27001 certification, Foreshore is required to prove to an independent third-party that it has developed and implemented a best-in class Information Security Management System (ISMS) for itself and its customers. Only awarded to organisations whose business processes conform to strict international standards, Foreshore’s continued ISO27001 accreditation provides independent verification that Foreshore has in place the appropriate procedures to be able to securely manage information security retaining confidentiality, integrity and availability of all data protecting both its own and its customers’ valuable information and data assets. The ISO27001 certification is only achieved and maintained by following thorough external audits by an independent and internationally recognised body such as the British Standards Institute (BSI).
