Reebok, Places + Faces Celebrate 13+ Years of Culture and Style with New Footwear Collaboration, Available October 23
Limited-edition collection brings fresh design elements to the iconic Reebok Classic Leather, blending Places + Faces’ signature reflective details with timeless streetwear style
(BOSTON) October 14, 2024 – Today, Reebok, the iconic and irreverent sports culture brand, and Places + Faces— a UK-based lifestyle, music, and photography company—are teaming up for a collaborative footwear collection that reflects both business’ deep roots in global streetwear and pop culture. The Places + Faces x Reebok Classic Leather Collection reimagines the iconic style with modern design twists. Available globally on October 23rd 10AM EST from Reebok.com and Places+Faces.com.
Since its inception in 2013 as a Tumblr photo blog documenting hip-hop concerts and the underground music scene, Places + Faces has evolved into a global streetwear brand, blending fashion, photography, and community while shaping street culture worldwide.
The Places + Faces x Reebok Fall 2024 footwear collection celebrates both brands’ longstanding influence on global street fashion and music with two unique iterations of the Classic Leather sneaker. Reflective elements, a Places + Faces signature, and vintage-inspired details refresh this iconic Reebok design, available in sleek black or chalk/silver/white. Both colorways are packaged in custom collector’s boxes for $130 MSRPeach.
“The inspiration behind this collaboration is rooted in our personal experience,” said Places+Faces Founder Imran Ciesay. “Growing up in the UK, Reebok’s Classic Leather was a staple, constantly seen in music videos and worn by cultural icons. We wanted to create a shoe that not only reflects the DNA of Places+Faces but also stays true to its versatility and iconic status. The reflective details are a nod to our early designs, making the Classic Leather the perfect canvas for this collaboration.”
Places + Faces
Not many brands can flex the fact that they went from a Tumblr photo blog to streetwear mainstay, but that’s the story of Places+Faces. The UK brand is the brainchild of Imran Ciesay and Solomon Boyede (or Ciesay and Soulz, respectively) and began way back in 2013 as a place for Ciesay to dump his archive of backstage photos. Like all good origin stories, P+F caught fire after the duo slapped a Places+Faces logo on some hoodies and other merch. Six years after its humble beginnings, the brand has become more than just a retailer and photography crew—they’ve created zines, done club nights, and dropped mixes with some of the UK music scene’s best artists.
