Reebok Promotes Walking for Heart Health through Partnership with The American Heart Association

Reebok will give a portion of its Walking shoe proceeds to the American Heart Association to support the organization’s life-saving research and innovation

BOSTON, October 11th, 2024 — Reebok, the irreverent sports culture brand, is joining the fight against heart disease and stroke by supporting the American Heart Association, a global force for healthier lives for all. Through a multi-year partnership, Reebok will inspire consumers to celebrate their reasons to live healthier, longer lives by participating in the American Heart Association’s fundraising campaign, Life Is Why™.

“We are honored and excited to be partnering with the American Heart Association, an organization that not only helps save lives daily, but one that is seamlessly aligned with Reebok’s brand purpose to get people to move more and stay healthy,” says Scott Daley, GM, Reebok US, and the Chair of the 2024 Boston Heart Walk. “Like so many of you, heart disease has impacted my life and the lives of my loved ones. On behalf of Reebok, I am incredibly proud that we can play a small role in heart health awareness, health equity, and groundbreaking research and innovation.”

During the campaign period, for every pair of shoes sold in Reebok’s Walking Shoe Line, including the award-winning DMX Comfort +, Reebok will donate $1 to the American Heart Association. In addition, Reebok will be integrating the AHA’s Life is Why campaign into its marketing channels in late 2025 and will be highlighted on product packaging, on Reebok.com, and other online retailers.

“Reebok’s support of the American Heart Association’s Life Is Why campaign exemplifies the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change in heart and brain health,” said Thomas Lee, chairperson of the American Heart Association’s Board of Directors in Greater Boston. “This will help fund critical research and enable us to reach more communities with life-saving initiatives. Together, we are making strides towards a healthier future for everyone.”

Donations through Life is Why’s participating retailers allow the Association to:

  • Fund research that can improve the health outcomes of heart and stroke patients;
  • Train more than 2.5 million high school students in CPR annually;
  • Support the work of local entrepreneurs and organizations working to improve health outcomes in under-resourced communities.
