Riding the Success Train

P2S Cohort #3 Reunion Group

An anonymous thought sums up what the majority of Passport2Success graduates are achieving: Some people dream of great accomplishments, while others stay awake and do them.

On Wednesday, 2 May 2012, graduates from Passport2Success (P2S) Cohort #3 gathered at Margaretville to celebrate their one year anniversary

In this group 65% are employed and 30% are attending school to further their education. Of those who are employed, five have been employed with the same employer for the past 12 months. Two are completing the ILEX – Legal Secretarial Course next month, two are working on associate degrees at UCCI; one is pursuing an associate degree at ICCI and one is attending school overseas.

Of those employed, employers include LIME, Kirk Freeport, Cayman Islands Airport Authority, Water Authority (Cayman), Al La Kebab, DECCO and the North Sound Golf Club.

The students received a surprise visit from the Minister for Education, Training and Employment, the Hon. Rolston Anglin who joined in their celebration. He addressed the students saying, “This is what you can do when you put your mind to a goal! I am extremely proud and ecstatic at the achievements each and every one of you has made in the past year.  Keep working hard, keep moving forward and always strive for better.”

Mrs. Shannon Seymour, programme coordinator at the Wellness Centre, also expressed how Cohort #3’s achievements continue to make her and the team at the Wellness Centre extremely proud.  She said to them, “ You have so much to be proud of and you have come such a long way from the people you were when you first started Passport2Success.  We at the Wellness Centre are truly proud of you and continue to wish you all the best as you continue along your journey.”
