Right to Know Week
Right to Know Week with its theme Just Ask runs from 22 to 29 September and GIS Spotlight shows you how to get the best from this important event.
Learn how Cayman’s right to know legislation empowers you to seek information and access the Information Commissioner’s Office. Hear from both end-users and providers why democracy works better with a more accountable and transparent government.
From there, we transport you to a new event to make peace a significant word in people’s lives in the Cayman Islands. See how you can participate in Cayman’s Peace Day on 21 September which links the Islands to a global recognition of peace. Hear about a new GIS produced video that will be aired at the event and discover what peace means to you.
We conclude with a reminder about Speak Off for Tourism, the Department of Tourism’s engagement with the Islands’ youth to elicit a fresh perspective on Cayman’s tourism product. Learn about this year’s theme, how to take part and discover what makes this competition special.
Produced by GIS Marketing and Communications, GIS Spotlight highlights government’s services and solutions regarding issues that concern and affect you.
The weekly programme airs Mondays on Cayman27 at 8 p.m. and on Saturdays at 6 p.m.
