Local attorneys Ritch & Conolly, announced on Monday (16) their sponsorship of the Football Associations Academy Sports Club. Donating $2,500, the funds will help sponsor young footballers (aged 10 – 16 years old) to participate in Academy Sports Club (ASC) programmes.

With over 80 participants, the ASC is a youth football development programme providing after school and weekend training sessions to young footballers within the community. This year, the ASC will be sending five teams (U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15) to attend the Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament, which is taking place on 16 – 22 July, Orlando, Florida. The Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament attracts teams from more than 20 countries and offers participants access to world-class facilities whilst enjoying everything the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.

“We would like to thank Ritch & Conolly for their generous donation,” comments Coach Glenn Whewell, Academy Sports Club. “It is contributions like these that enable us to continue to provide young footballers with quality coaching and opportunities to compete and travel at an international level.”

In acknowledgement of their sponsorship, the Ritch & Conolly logo will be placed on the back of the ASC football shirts, which are worn by all players when representing the Academy.

“We are delighted to sponsor the Academy Sports Club,” states David Ritch, Senior Partner, Ritch & Conolly. “The Academy Sports Club not only assists young children by developing them as football players, but also encourages a commitment to academic success. We wish all the young footballers travelling to Orlando the very best of luck in the tournament, and look forward to hearing of their successes.”
