UPDATE:

Further to the message below, please note the following clarifications and the maps attached, which explain the Marathon (Kids & Adult) routes.

The routes are the same as last year’s.

· South Sound Road will be closed in its entirety in both directions – access only for residents;

· Walkers Road between Hospital Road and South Sound Road will also be closed – access only for residents;

· South Sound Road => South Church Street => Harbour Drive => Mary Street will be closed;

· Shedden Road and Elgin Avenue in Central George Town will be closed (please see Kids Marathon map attached).

Road closures for the Intertrust Cayman Islands Marathon this Sunday, 6 December.  These road closures will be in effect from 4AM – 11:30AM:

 ·         Red Bay Road from Old Prospect Road to the roundabout by Hurley’s Supermarket coming into George Town will be reduced to one lane;

 ·         South Sound Road into George Town will be closed;

 ·         Walkers Road to Hospital Road will be closed;

 ·         All roads from Elgin Avenue/Mary Street/Boilers Road/Harbour Drive/Shedden Road to George Town (central GT) will be closed.
