Robbery at George Town Gas Station
George Town detectives are investigating an armed robbery which took place on Eastern Avenue.
Around 10 pm on Monday police received a report of a robbery at the Texaco gas station on Eastern Avenue.
A spokeswoman for the RCIPS said: “Two masked men had entered the premises. One of the suspects was in possession of what appeared to be a firearm. The robbers threatened staff and demanded cash.
“They then made off with the cash register and a sum of money. They were last seen heading towards the School Road area.
“The suspects are described as both being around 5’4″ in height, wearing dark clothing and masks. One had a dark complexion, the other a light complexion.”
Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the robbery or the suspects fleeing the scene should call GTPS on 9494222 or C/ stoppers 800 8477 (TIPS).
