A robbery occurred at around 3am Sat (1) at a house in Helen’s Drive, off West Bay Road, George Town whilst the occupants were watching television in the living room.

A quantity of cash was stolen and personal documents.  It could have been worse as the thief or thieves were disturbed by the property owner’s big dog trying to get into another part of the house and fled.

The couple who were robbed said it was only when they heard the dog barking and investigated that they found out what had happened.

The thief gained access breaking a closed window and was in the process of doing the same to another window when the dog appeared.

The RCIPS are investigating the crime.
