Robbery on North Church Street, Wednesday 29 November

Just after 7PM yesterday, 29 November, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery outside the Digicel Store on North Church Street in George Town.
Upon exiting the store, an employee was approached by a lone male who brandished what appeared to be a firearm. A backpack containing a quantity of cash from the store and some personal items was taken before the male fled north toward the neighbouring premises. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being between 5’7”-5’8” of medium build, wearing a long sleeve hoody with a cloth tied around his face and gloves on both hands.
The matter is under investigation and anyone who may have any information is asked to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
