Royal Cayman Islands Police Service – Strategic Police Plan 2015/17
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service are currently preparing their Strategic Plan and set out below some of the key areas where they believe their focus should be. However they want to get the views of our community on the services they provide, to help them ensure that resources are directed to the areas that matter to residents. To target and reduce crimes and keep the community safe
Focus on those local areas that are most affected by crime and antisocial behavior
Reduce the impact of drugs and alcohol on levels of crime and antisocial behavior
Reduce the threat from gang related organized crime
Reduction in reoffending through prevention and early intervention
Maintain a safe and secure road network
Improve existing partnership working and build new partnerships
Enhance community based initiatives such as neighborhood watch schemes
Increase the reduction and detection of violent crimes, particularly those that are gang related
To increase the detection rate for burglaries
To earn the trust and confidence of the community and improve levels of satisfaction with our services
Protect, support and respond to victims, witnesses and vulnerable people
Improve the efficiency, accessibility and effectiveness of our part in the criminal justice process
Expect everyone who works for RCIPS to consistently to demonstrate our values
Regularly seek community views on our levels of service through Community/Stakeholder surveys

Manage our resources efficiently, effectively and economically, demonstrating robust financial management and good corporate governance
Recruit, manage, train and develop a diverse workforce so that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place at the right time
Provide our officers and staff with the tools, technology and services they need to do their jobs efficiently and effectively
