Savannah United Church invites you to a Sacred Celebration Concert with Steve Higgins and Friends on Saturday, 27 August at 6pm.  Tickets are $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door.  Part proceeds will go towards the After School Enrichment Programs at Savannah United Church and John Gray Memorial Church.

Steve Higgins will also perform at the Harquail Theatre on Sunday, 28 August at 6:30pm.

“Steve Higgins & Friends for the Cayman Islands!”

August 23, 2016. Ft Lauderdale – Steve Higgins & Friends will bring an exciting weekend of shows of exquisite personality to The Cayman Islands this week-end August 27th & 28th, 2016.

Fresh from a tour of the UK, headlining the Birmingham Commonwealth Association & the Association of Jamaican Nationals in Birmingham’s tribute celebrating the 90th birthday of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Higgins also toured Scotland where he delivered a stunning performance and workshops at the UN House, Scotland and in London.

This weekend, he will be joined by two excellent performers, and The Cayman Islands will be treated to an exciting musical celebration with three talented singers: Dahlia Wynter, Rory Baugh and Steve Higgins. The trio has toured many a stage in the US -including New York- to adoring audiences longing for such a rare and captivating experience.

Soul-stirring “SACRED” will be presented at the Savanna United Church on Saturday 27th and then Sunday August 28th will be the funny, classy and romantic concert , presented by Stoosh Productions in association with Steve Higgins & Friends .

Dahlia’s melodious voice effortlessly sets the mood for the evening. Rory has a strong classical style and his renditions are powerful and impeccable. Steve Higgins will display his ‘sense of humor’ during his performance about ‘love’ and ‘being in love’. When you are not in stitches laughing, you will get ‘goose bumps’! Steve Higgins & Friends will collectively share the passion of inspiration and love by delivering an entertaining line-up of your favorite songs both classics and island music. On Sunday, this show is specially suited for women who believe Caribbean men are not romantic, and men who will enjoy lessons in the ‘Science of Romance’. Their repertoire is drawn from great love songs over the years and will be enjoyed by all age groups. The Tenors will showcase a gentler and sensitive side to the ‘male macho’, and will leave all ladies enchanted, and all men- who are often misunderstood- vindicated! (Sometimes us men don’t get a chance to express ourselves properly)!

The singers will also demonstrate the romantic side of Jamaican culture by telling stories through passionate love songs, Jamaican folk songs, Italian love ballads, jazz numbers and Broadway standards. The folk songs performed in Jamaican patois will be explained for everyone’s enjoyment.
