New UNESCO report on Leadership and Education

The new one GEM Report 2024 on Leadership in Education , prepared by the Global Education Monitoring Report (GEM) of UNESCO , will be launched on 31 October at an event in Fortaleza, Brazil , attended by 40 ministers of education from around the world.

The report entitled “ Leadership and education “ highlights the evolution, opportunities and challenges of leadership in education at a global level. It also provides the latest overview of country progress towards the fourth Sustainable Development Goal in education, SDG 4.

The GEM Report 2024 is under strict embargo until 31 October at 15:00 GMT/17:00 CET

The Global Education Monitoring Report : Established in 2002, the GEM Report is an editorially independent report hosted and published by UNESCO. At the 2015 World Education Forum, it was mandated by 160 governments to monitor and report on education progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with particular reference to the SDG4 monitoring framework, and the implementation of national and international strategies to help hold all relevant partners accountable for their commitments.
