Abandoned, lost or discarded fishing gear (ALDFG), also known as ghost gear, refers to any gear used for fish harvesting that is no longer under the control of the harvester, regardless of the circumstances leading to such loss.
The Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM) and the Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI) are hereby extending a cordial invitation to you to attend our second joint session on Abandoned, Lost, and Discarded Fishing Gear (ALDFG) in the Caribbean: Challenges, Successes and Opportunities.

Whereas the first session set the stage and provided background information on actions, including the development of the Caribbean Action Plan, this second session will focus on the policy frameworks and a deep dive into the action plan.

Attendees will have the opportunity to offer input for refining and updating the document and to pose questions to the experts.
