Serious Motor Vehicle Accident UPDATED / House Fire East End
Further details of serious Motor Vehicle Accident – Vicinity Rankin’s Jerk Centre Sat Oct 19

The accident happened at about 1:57 am on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Rankin’s Jerk Centre. A Honda Accord motor car was travelling towards Bodden Town direction driven by an unaccompanied twenty-five-year-old female. A Honda Stream motor car was travelling on the said Road travelling in the opposite direction driven by a thirty-year-old male apparently at a high rate of speed and accompanied by a thirty-seven-year-old front-seat female passenger.
The driver of the Honda Stream motor car apparently swerved into the path of the Honda Accord motor car, and the right sides of both vehicles collided causing extensive damages to the front ends of both vehicles.
Apparently, as a result of the impact of both vehicles, the driver of the Honda Stream motor car was ejected from the vehicle onto the Road about thirty yards from his vehicle.
Police, Emergency Medical Team (“EMT”) and the Fire Department personnel attended the scene.
The feet of the female passenger of the Honda Stream motor car were trapped and had to be freed by EMT and the Fire Department personnel.
The driver of the Honda Accord sustained minor scratches to her arms and legs; she was transported to the George Town Hospital by ambulance, treated and discharged.
The driver of the Honda Stream motor car sustained head injuries, and his female passenger sustained legs and apparently internal injuries. Both were transported to the George Town Hospital by ambulances.
The male driver of the Honda Stream remains in critical condition at the George Town Hospital. His female passenger underwent surgery and she remains in the George Town Hospital, but in stable condition.

The section of Shamrock Road at the scene of the serious motor vehicle accident this morning that was closed to vehicular traffic has reopened. The RCIPS would like to apologize to the motorists who were inconvenienced and delayed and for their patience in allowing the investigators to carry out their investigations.

At about 1:57 am this morning, a serious motor vehicle accident occurred on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Rankin’s Jerk Chicken involving two vehicles. A total of three persons of the vehicles have been transported to the George Town Hospital for injuries.
Emergency personnel including the police attended the scene. Accident Constructionist officers are currently at the scene.
The Road is blocked and vehicular traffic in both directions is delayed. [NOW OPEN]

House Fire East End

At about 2:55 am this morning, there was a structure fire involving a three-bedroom-wooden house on Fiddlers Way, East End. No one was in the house at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.
Police personnel including Scenes of Crime officers and Fire Department officers attended the scene. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department officers. However, the house was extensively damaged, and it is inhabitable.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by officers of the RCIPS and the Fire Department.
