On Wednesday 8th January 2014 around 0132 hrs. the Police received a report of a serious M/V accident involving a Suzuki Jimny. The accident occurred along the Up The Hill Road, Mt. Pleasant, West Bay.

The driver was travelling from the Shores towards the Junction with Meadow Road when he lost control and collided with a chain link fence causing major damage to his vehicle and the fence.

Both the driver and a front seat passenger sustained serious injuries and were conveyed to the George Town Hospital by ambulance, where they were admitted in critical condition.

Welfare checks were made on the victims at 6:30 am and both were still unresponsive.
