Police are presently on scene of a shooting incident which occurred on Powell Smith Drive in West Bay

At 9:15 pm, 5th January 2015, a report was received via 911 that a male victim had received gunshot wounds in the vicinity of Top a Top Bar in West Bay.

Emergency Medical Services attended the location and one male was transported to George Town Hospital for treatment.

An investigation has commenced and is still in the early stages therefore further information will be forthcoming as the investigation progresses. However, at this time, the RCIPS is appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact the West Bay Police Station at 9493999 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 800-8477 (TIPS)
