Just after 6PM [Fri Jan 31], police in Little Cayman were informed of a sinkhole that formed in the roadway along Guy Banks Road. The sinkhole will interrupt the regular flow of traffic and the area has been marked to inform road users of its location.

Work has already commenced on repairing the area where the the sinkhole was formed however at this time it is incomplete. Officers are asking that the Little Cayman community be aware of the sinkhole and proceed with caution when traveling along Guy Banks Road.

The RCIPS would like to thank the public for their continued cooperation and are encouraging anyone who discovers any sinkholes that are unmarked to inform the 9-1-1 Communication Centre immediately.
