SMP Partners’ Cayman Islands staff honored in annual awards
Eight members of staff from SMP Partners’ Cayman office, with more than 65 years’ experience between them, have been recognised for their long service to the firm.
The SMP Partners’ Length of Service Awards recognise employee dedication, expertise and commitment and were presented at the firm’s Christmas party, held at Commodore Restaurant in Morgan’s Bay, West Bay.
Stephen Turner, CEO of the Caribbean Region, was awarded a Special Award for 20 years with the company. Two further members of staff were presented with a Silver Award for 10 years’ service and five employees were awarded a Bronze Award for five years.
The SMP Partners Cayman Employee of the Year 2018 was awarded to Joyce Seymour, Senior Trust Officer. Joyce was nominated by fellow employees and presented with CI$1,000 for her hard work and dedication.
Stephen Turner said: ‘These awards not only recognise the commitment of our long-serving staff, but years of hard work, specialist knowledge and valued contribution. They are very well deserved and I am privileged to work alongside so many accomplished professionals as we provide first class trust and corporate services to our global client base.’
Staff enjoyed a sparkling evening of food, entertainment and celebration and also raised CI$1,500 for their chosen cause, Feed Our Future. The charitable organisation is devoted to solving childhood hunger in the Cayman Islands and funds nutritionally balanced school meals to children in need.
Stephen added: ‘The evening was a fantastic celebration of our staff and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. It was fantastic to take the opportunity to raise further funds for our Charity of The Year, Feed our Future, which we hope will go a long way in helping to feed children across Cayman.’
