About 10.00am on Thursday, 16 May, a 63-year-old cruise ship passenger was snorkeling off Eden Rock with friends when he got into difficult. The man, who was from the US,  was brought to shore by his friends.

CPR was administered by EMS and he was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The matter is under investigation by the Joint Marine Unit.
