St Albans Church Mice Christmas Sale
On Saturday 17th November, from 10am to 3pm at the South Sound Community Centre, South Sound Road, there will be “THE CHURCH MICE CHRISTMAS SALE”.
This annual event, the second one, is organised by members of St. Albans Anglican Church and all proceeds will go to the church’s building fund.
Bishop Nicholas Sykes, the man in charge at St. Albans, told me the name ‘Church Mice’ was chosen by the St. Albans’ ladies who work quietly but do “outstanding things” for the church.
The Christmas products on sale will include:
Stockings – wide selection to choose from
Tree Decorations – handmade by “The Mice”
Puddings – handmade in Cayman to a traditional English recipe
The Mice have been busy this year making jam, chutneys, marmalades and Christmas puddings. All the old favorites and lots of new items that they are are very excited about. The Christmas advent calendars are back but have limited stock, so come early. You never know even Father Christmas may be collecting his at the same time………………..
On the churchmice website (www.churchmicecayman.com) it says, “The Church Mice are a group of friends and church members of St. Alban’s Anglican Church who work together to raise funds for a much needed larger church building.”
And, the day (Friday 16) before “THE CHURCH MICE CHRISTMAS SALE”, the Mice will be out again:
November 16th | 5pm-8pm
TORTUGA EXHIBITION
The Tortuga Rum Shop in Governors Square opposite Cost U Less is having a wine tasting event on Friday November 16th at happy hour. The Church Mice will have some of their Artisan pieces on display and available to purchase for those who missed out at The Artisan’s Evening at The Art Gallery last May. There will be some new items and surprisingly affordable! Come have a look while relaxing with a complimentary glass of wine after work. You may get a chance to stock up your bar and find some more gifts for that December date that is fast approaching!
