St K-N: On Wed (15) “Leadership Matters”, PM Harris will be joined by the Hon. Alexis Jeffers, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries & Marine Resources
The St. Kitts-Nevis Government’s widely watched Leadership Matters virtual forum series will air today, Tuesday, September 15th, 2020, with Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris headlining its 20th installment on ZIZ TV (Channel 5 or https://zizonline.com/tv/channel-5/) from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.
Joining the Honourable Prime Minister on the panel and answering audience questions will be Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources, the Honourable Alexis Jeffers and Director of Marine Resources, Mr. Marc Williams.
The focus of discussion tonight will be the role of agriculture in nation building.
The Federal Government’s $120 million COVID-19 stimulus package is dedicating $10 million to boost production in the agriculture sector. Prime Minister Harris’ Administration is assisting farmers with financial grants, free seeds and seedlings, and has also set aside additional lands to be devoted to food production. Additionally, the Government has waived water consumption payments by farmers for April to September 2020.
