“We are PAM! We are PAM in Unity!” says Richards

People’s Action Movement Leader Hon. Shawn K. Richards re-affirmed his party’s commitment to a government of National UNITY under the umbrella of an alliance of 3 major Political Parties in the Federation of St.Kitts-Nevis labelled Team UNITY.

In his second Party Conference address as National Leader of the St.Kitts main opposition Party Richards expressed his party’s commitment to work with the Partners in Team UNITY .

Richards declared “We in the Peoples Action Movement have committed ourselves to work with our partners to bring hope and goodwill to our Nation, to all the people of St. Kitts and Nevis! It is a commitment in which we dedicate ourselves to work with members of the other political parties or groups in our Federation, the CCM, PLP, Labour, or independents, people of goodwill, people who love their country, and who put Country above self. People who, like us, are committed to offer to the citizens of our country a new direction in which we strive to end the divisiveness that has plagued us for so long, which pits brother against sister, and neighbour against neighbour, in which there will be opportunities for all to get a job, to own a piece of land and to prosper in the land of their birth. It will be a new direction in which we will offer relief to our people, to uplift and make life easier for all those who are having such a hard time to get through each day, each week, each month. This is our pledge.”

The two Term Parliamentarian and Representative for Constituency #5 also used the historic opposition party conference to re-affirm his commitment, as well as that of the People’s Action Movement, of support of the Leadership of Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, Leader of Team UNITY.

“We in the Peoples Action Movement give our full support to Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris and other leaders in Team Unity, the Leader of the Opposition, the Honourable Mark Brantley, who is also Deputy Political Leader, along with myself, to lead us into this exciting, new era of governance in St. Kitts and Nevis. A new day is upon us. Soon, very soon, the Douglas Government has no choice but to go to the people, and we are confident that the people will give Dr Douglas and those around him, their marching orders,” Richards stated

The young, vibrant and experienced MP Richards also re-affirmed his commitment to the ideals and principles of the People’s Action Movement as well as his assurance that the PAM identity will never be lost.

Richards declared “Today is even more special as we meet and mix with the Party faithful and reaffirm our commitment to our PAM ideals and our PAM identity . We are PAM! We are PAM in Unity! And we express with our wider Family in Team Unity, our shared values of good governance, and our commitment to bring relief and a better way of life for all the people of ST. Kitts and Nevis through a Prosperity Agenda as in this year, with an abundance of hope and expectation, we prepare for the upcoming general elections.”
