A man, age 26, of George Town, has been arrested on suspicion of Wounding in connection with the stabbing that occurred in the early morning of 20 July near Public Beach.

The victim is in hospital in stable condition.

Just before 2AM Wed morning, 20 July, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched police to the Cayman Islands Hospital where emergency staff had reported that a 21-year-old man had arrived with a stab wound.

Police were informed that the man had been stabbed by another man in the parking lot near Public Beach. The attacker was known to a person in the victim’s company.

The victim is still in the hospital in critical condition.
