Grand Cayman, 27 November 2018

The Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association (CILPA) welcomes the appointment of three new acting Grand Court judges: Judge Aileen Downey, Simon Flint QC and Hugh Southey QC.  Their experience and expertise strengthen an already strong judiciary.

It also congratulates Cheryl Richards QC on her appointment as a permanent Grand Court judge.  Her distinguished career in public service equips her well for her new role on the Bench. The appointment of a local lawyer living here is particularly gratifying and the jurisdiction will greatly benefit from her understanding of the Islands.
