Students celebrate diversity
“It was a great success, in which 20 countries, including the Cayman Islands, displayed artifacts, showcased their talents and provided samples of their delicacies,” said Principal Gloria Bell.
This PTA fundraiser was attended by over 400 persons. Community partners, SaxonMG and Cayman Airways provided the gate prizes of a $400 gift certificate towards an insurance policy, and two tickets to Miami, respectively.
Mrs. Bell added, “This annual event allows our students the opportunity to learn, respect and appreciate other cultures, thereby facilitating harmony and tolerance within the school.”
This event recognizes the diversity of cultures in the school, which is a vital aspect of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme.
The Prospect educators extend sincere appreciation to all parents, guardians, teachers, students and well-wishers for making International Day 2013 a great success.
