ASICS launches the highly anticipated SUPERBLAST™ 2 shoes featuring the brand’s most premium FF TURBO™ PLUS foam to help runners feel supercharged every step of their run.

[26 June 2024 – Kobe, Japan] – ASICS is excited to unveil the newSUPERBLAST™ 2 shoe, the latest addition to ASICS’ bouncy and energized performance running shoes. First introduced in December 2022, the latest release of the popular super trainer series is now available with the super responsive and comfortable FF TURBO™ PLUS midsole and a brand new upper making it more breathable and comfortable.​ The stack heights of the supercharged foam deliver an incredible responsive underfoot feeling, making this shoe the ultimate running ‘cheat code’. 

The shoe’s main upgrade comes from the use of FF TURBO™ PLUS foam in the midsole, previously used only in ASICS’ flagship models – the METASPEED™ SKY PARIS and METASPEED™ EDGE PARIS, the race day choices for many runners. The FF TURBO™ PLUS foam is approx. 8.0% lighter, 6.0% softer and has 8.2% more energy return than the FF BLAST™ TURBO foam featured in the previous model. The midsole also features a bottom layer of FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning made from approximately 24% bio-based material which supports with softer landings and energized toe-off. The advanced midsole delivers super responsive cushioning that not only enhances the runner’s performance by conserving energy but also saves the runner’s legs for the next performance.

Pushing the boundaries of technology, the SUPERBLAST™ 2 shoe is equipped with ASICSGRIP™, an advanced outsole rubber, originally designed for off-road terrains that provides better traction and advanced comfort throughout every run. Also, the ENGINEERED WOVEN UPPER, a one-piece, lightweight, and highly breathable woven fabric provides further comfort needed for the runners.

The SUPERBLAST™ 2 shoe weighs approx. 249 g (size US9) and will become available for purchase on July 5th, 2024, for 220 EURO.
