Surprise! Bitcoin and Ethereum are not the Only Cryptocurrencies in the Crypto-Verse
Since 2009, the cryptocurrency industry has come a very long way, and it has finally started achieving its true purpose and goal. The industry is now being adopted by many mainstream institutions and retail investors.
With time, the cryptocurrency industry has become so popular that most independent internet users who never heard of cryptocurrencies are jumping into the space. The majority of these investors think that the entire cryptocurrency industry consists of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (Ethereum).
However, the reality is that the cryptocurrency industry is very vast and it has so much more than just Bitcoin and Ethereum. To be honest, even saying that Bitcoin and Ethereum are the tip of the iceberg for the crypto-verse wouldn’t do justice to its size.
What are Altcoins?
The simple definition for Altcoins is that anything that is not Bitcoin, is an altcoin. The term is tagged with cryptocurrencies that are not Bitcoin so it even includes Ethereum. However, I will not be talking about Ethereum as you may already have a very good idea about Ethereum.
