Taste of Cayman will be at Camana Bay for first time

The Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) are pleased to announce their 2013 event date and venue for this years Taste of Cayman, Food & Wine Festival.

Taste of Cayman will be celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary on Saturday 26th January, 2013.  The event this year will be held at the Camana Bay Festival Green and they are very excited to return the event to its grass roots!

Taste of Cayman began in the late eighties with a small number of restaurants from the Cayman Islands Restaurant Association meeting in a field to compete in a Chili Cook Off.  The event has now grown to what it is today, with over 45 restaurant and distributors participating in an open air event that comprises of an attendance more than 4,000 people.

They hope everyone will be planning their trip to join them on Jan 26 2013, because the organisers promise it will be bigger and better.

CITA Executive Director Jane van der Bol said, “Taste of Cayman is now one of the largest events in the Cayman Islands and Camana Bay’s Festival Green perfectly accommodates the events growing number of restaurant booths, volunteers and attendees.”

The CITA said The 25th anniversary of Taste of Cayman will focus particularly on Cayman culture, heritage and cuisine. The “All Things Cayman” feature area will be a focal point of the festival and will be both appetising and entertaining.
