Tech companies stand out at Auto Shanghai
The changes in the automotive industry become visible when one is walking through the halls at this year’s Auto Shanghai. More and more technology companies join the car manufacturers and suppliers on the exhibition area, presenting their contributions to the future of mobility.
Baidu, for example, presented at the show upgrades to its Apolloautonomous driving system, considered one of the highlights at Auto Shanghai. With the upgrades to its intelligent cloud solutions, Baidu pushes the commercialization of autonomous driving and empowers partners to develop autonomous vehicles by enhancing their production process, understanding of users and car security. Moreover, Baidu announced plans to have Apollo pre-installed on more mass-produced car models.
The telecommunications company Huawei is also acting as partner for selected manufacturers providing technology solutions. At Auto Shanghai, the first-ever car with Huawei’s operating system, chips and autonomous driving solution premiered, called the Huawei Inside and developed in collaboration with BAIC’s Arcfox brand.
A debutant at the show is DJI. A subsidiary of the leading drone company presents its intelligent driving solutions which are said to equip several mass-produced models in 2021.Â
